 Five Gold Medals & Two World Records — Chevi Guzmán 

From August 7–17, 2025, the World Games were held in Chengdu, China, showcasing elite athletes from non-Olympic sports around the world. At the Chengdu Roller Sports Centre, inline speed skating stood out as one of the most exciting and competitive spectacles of the Games.

Sebastian "Chevi" Guzman produced one of the most remarkable sprint campaigns in World Games history, winning five gold medals against a world-class field.

Chevi’s gold medal victories included:

• 🥇 200 meters sprint (track) New World Record: 17.164 Seconds ⚡

• 🥇 500 meters sprint (track)

• 🥇 1,000 meters sprint (track)

• 🥇 One-lap road race

• 🥇 100 meters road sprint - New World Record 9.53 Seconds ⚡

During these performances, Chevi also set two officially recognized world records in sprint distances — cementing his place among the fastest in the sport. (World records in inline speed skating at major championships such as the World Games are officially homologated under governing standards.)

Chevi’s success demonstrated both explosive speed and championship composure across disciplines.

In the Men’s Road 100m Sprint Final, Vincenzo Maiorca also made a strong showing, finishing second in a highly competitive field. This podium finish underscores the international depth of Junk athletes at the highest level. 

Junk skaters going 1st and 2nd in the 100 meter sprint was the perfect way to end the competition.
